I'm Maraya, and I'm Made For More.
We started our new group with 14 ladies and organically optimized to a core group of 11 lovely ladies from all ages and stages. Though my co-leader and I were new to group leadership, we felt it went well due to the unbelievably organized leader training, easy access curriculum, communication guidelines and support from the Groups Team.
In addition to our studies, we enjoyed one social and several Be Rich serve events. These first few months were about building rapport and trust. By the time we got to stories, we were friends, having served together, shared meals and conversations together, leading to genuine care for one another. It's amazing how the common bond of a church family brings people together.
Leading a group was something I have wanted to grow into for some time and I'm beyond grateful to have had that first experience through the North Point's Groups team. I hope to enjoy many more years of group leadership, God-willing!
