I started serving in Transit four years ago, honestly unsure of what I was getting myself into, but praying for God to guide me. North Point has such a strong structure of support—one I’ve never seen in my life.
One major aspect of leading groups is earning the trust of the group and creating a safe environment. Together, we build a space where our kids feel comfortable asking questions and being open. They come to us with their struggles, and we pray together. North Point Community Church is fully equipped to support both kids and leaders as we navigate challenges and pray through them, trusting God to guide them. The joy of helping someone through their struggles and witnessing God's transformative work is the greatest feeling. This is why I decided to step into the trenches and get involved in God’s work where he has called me.
Through this experience, I’ve developed deeper connections with my coaches and leaders at North Point. Working alongside people of faith has had a direct impact on my family and me. After watching me serve, my son decided to get involved as well. He now serves at North Point and points people to Jesus. Though there’s a strong tendency for high school and college students to drift away from God, we are blessed to see the miracle God has worked in our family while also blessing others. I wouldn't trade this experience for anything.
